Small 8pt I got this weekend

Hunted at my old club with a few buds. I was in Stewart Cty. near Fort Benning!

 

I hit him in the right shoulder and it came out his left hip...

 

a dead deers a good deer, that's how I roll. congrats, more than what I have shot this year.

 

was it a very quartering shot? otherwise it may have ricocheted off the shoulder bone and back. first deer i shot with a 270 it was slightly quartering away and it hit the 3rd or 4th rib back and ended up comin back out in the 8th or 9th rib. completely changed directions

 

nice deer! those high power rifles will do some damage

Out here that would be considered a 4 pointer or a 4x4. But nice buck either way.

 

I'd take that deer any day of the week.
