Just bought my first rugar 10/22 about two months ago and love to shoot it. It is a ton of fun. Hope to have quite the collection in the future. definitely my favorite gun to shoot

I know there's a few on here that build whistle pig guns as I did in Boise... even with a bull barrel, Volquartzen trigger, and competition stock the .22 LR is a short range round. I figure I'll put the crosshairs on my target at not much more than 100 yards. In that scenario, the Simmons scopes worked just fine.

I forget the other poster but I agree with the fixed 4x32 Nikon Prostaf. Its built for .22lr and short range (75yds and in) small game hunting with a corrected parallax for 50yds.

Not too much more $ than the BSA at about $100 shipped from Amazon or wally world and you will have no doubts in it's abilities.

I have had two of the Simmons 3-9's neither would hold zero through the season. Dumped them and bought a basic bushnell at walmart and have not looked back since.

Foglights are for fog, not oncoming traffic!
I bought two Swift scopes for my precision 22lr's.
ONe is an airgun scope and parralax is way in on it.
Swift Premier scopes are very good.

I got my scope at walmart for like 50 bucks. 3-9X50. I like having the bigger field of view. I think its a simmons. You dont need to spend a lot of money on a .22 scope...

The objective lens size as in the "50" on your scope has nothing what so ever to do with the field of view, it simply gathers more light. And a quality scope with a smaller objective lens, say a "40" will gather more than a larger one of lesser quality, it's all about the glass.

the same scope in the 40mm has a narrower sight picture...

I know quality glass makes up for light gathering, thats why on my hunting rifle I have a 3-9x50 leupold :D

But for my .22 I didnt feel the need or have the money for a high dollar scope. I had a busted up scope that I got for free on it for like 3 years...the crosshairs rotated and actually made an "X" instead of "+". it was still sighted in, just with "X" hairs...haha

Nikon is the best bang for your buck out there. i would've recommended a 3-9. i have a red-dot on my 10/22T which is awesome out to about 50 yds. i find myself wishing for more "zoom" sometimes but you can't beat it for quick aquisition and rapid fire. i have a nikon 2-7on my slug gun and couldn't be more pleased. last year i bought a Sightron 3-9x40 for my savage .22 WMR and have been really impressed with it. clarity is as good or better than the Nikon. Sightron uses Japanese glass, which is one of the main reasons i started looking into them. they are reasonably priced also. (slightly higher than an equivalent Nikons) the red dot i have on the 10/22 is a Sightron model also...great quality.

10/22T with Hammerforged barrel, bone stock with exception an Accuracy Systems recoil buffer pin.

CCI velocitors @ 50yds...grouping would be better if i had some magnification

I got a ruger 10/22 for my 12th birthday. At the time i bought a cheaper bushnell scope with some birthday money i had. Well, i'm 24 now and for how much i plink with the 22 it's a great scope and has always been accurate. I don't know the model but it was a cheaper busnell (probably around 40-50 bucks, i can't remember).
