New to me Kimber Pro Tactical range report

    I went out and shot ~50 rounds between 2 mags (one 7rd and one 8rd). No FTF or FTE issues. It ate 230gr ball ammo with no problems. The only issue is that there is no ryhme or reason for where the brass goes when ejected. I've read this may go away after the break in period which is another 350 rds from now.

    Love my Kimber. I have a Custom Stainless II. I've only owned handguns for a year and in that time I've had/sold XD40sub, Bersa 380, the Kimber and my Ruger LCR. I currently have the Kimber and the LCR and while I'll probably be doing the buy/sell thing the rest of my life, I will Always keep the Kimber.

    Beautiful gun. Love your model.

    Thanks for the comments and compliments! I really like this model too. After holding a few different models I knew I needed/wanted the magwell. This one fits my hand perfectly and the trigger is SO sweet. It's already replaced my XD for carry.:eek:

    :DNone of my Kimbers have ever laid the brass out in a neat pile. But usually I can find them in a 5' radius.

    I do like a magwell too. Sometimes my wife will let me fire hers..

    I noticed the same thing with my eclipse.... it made a nice pile when shooting 180 grain FMJs.... but lays a scatter with the 230 grain ball ammo.. or i might be completely going insane lol... the kimber u have is next on my list to acquire.... wish i didnt go to Cabelas and the gun show... cuz i thought my handgun buying was gonna stop at the SIG and kimber... boy i thought wrong hahahaha
