Right now i'm leaning towards the savage mark II F with the accutrigger. But im open to anything. Definetly want to stay under $400.

Foglights are for fog, not oncoming traffic!
    Savage is a good choice.
I went with CZ for myself and another for my son.
Stock trigger is not as good as accutrigger but a $15 tuning kit makes all the difference.
I bought mine when CZ was stocking with some pretty nice wood.
Pretty guns that shoot great are rewarding on a different level.

Marlin tube fed bolt actions are my favorite.

I dont think Ted Nugent needs to ask us about rifles :p
I have seen the CZs at gun shows and they seem pretty solid. At $400 for a 22 bolt you can get a pretty nice gun.

Had a Marlin Mod 15 (I think it was). Out of the box as accurate as I could ask for, and dirt cheap.

Big vote for the Savage from me. I have the GV I believe. Bull barrel, laminate stock and should be under $300 if you find it on sale. The CZ is an amazing gun if you have about $150 more to spend.

My Savage, shortened to 16" barrel, threaded and suppressed:

Does 10-shot groups at 50 yds about like this off a bipod with no rear bag. I need to put it in a proper rest and see what it can really do.

Im going to have to go with a CZ .22 if you can find one for under 400. They are sweet. My roommate uses one for squirrel huntin and never hits them anywhere but the head using a fixed 3 power scope. I have seen him take one out at 120 yards with that thing
