Ok, I bought this little beastie at a pawn shop for a little over $200 in near perfect condition. It is an 870 Express (slug gun) with a fully rifled barrel. I started my Dura Baking the entire gun in black (pretty easy process), next I installed the full length picatinney rail system (seriously lowered upward recoil). I then added the 6 way adjustible pistol grip stock. Next, I installed the 5 round side saddle mount and 2 round mag extension. Followed by the 260 lumen light. Then, just for fun, I added the bi-pod. The scope is a 4x32 that came off my AR. I stuck it on their just to see how it looked. I have an Eotech 552 reflex sight coming for it and a set of pop up rifle sights. What do ya think??

too much picatinney, and for sure get yuorself a reflex or a set of ghost ring sights and definitely drop the scope and bipod thats kinda worthless.. its jsut a shotgun you only need a few mods to make it effective especially being a point a shoot gun

I've got the 870-Great base for a build up. The Police Max edition with fore end light and extended tube with GhostRings is great...And that is just home defense.

What is the purpose for this build??

yeah but he also bought a $500 EOTECH for this. kind of a waste of an EOTECH imo. it's worth twice the amount of the gun.

all you need are ghost ring sights.

Yeah..I see that. I guess I don't get the concept of spending the cheese for parts like a bipod on something like this if it's just "for fun" and how many places use a bipod on a shotgun in reality.

Actually the bipod and scope are off my AR. It is pretty heavy but hell, its a 12 gauge shot gun with 8 rounds. The Eotech is compatible with my AR too. I order flip up sights for it.

Seems like a lot of extraneous bangles to me. I want a gun that cycles good and fires straight. The only modifications I have made to my 870 Marine Express is to add the Mesa side saddle with the picanny rail on top and the Wren Technologies triangular sight. Both increased functionality, the side saddle allows me to keep more shells handy and the sight allows me to lay on my target much, much faster in just about any light with no batteries involved.

Now take a combat shotgun operators course.

After that, you'll be back to the 200 base gun your started with.

I like the 870 but that looks like a lego gun with all the rails all over the thing!
