ar 15 help

Looking into buying an AR-15 which is the best brand rifle that most people buy looking for a 223. I would like to spend around 800 on it I live in california loma linda area anybody can show me some sight or a gun store near my location

here in california loma linda ca im thinking of getting the JD machine lower stripped what kind of internals kit should i buy? what do you guys think? what kind of fully built upper would be the best to match with my jd machine lower?

thanks for the great info i jus purchased a JD machine lower so now my new problem is whats the best upper that is legal here in cali i want a 16in upper bt i cant find the legal uppers for cali?
