What do you think about it? Is it worth it?

    I have one, it's a beast.

    What is your intended use?

I have many shotty's and I always pick up my M2 when shooting 3-gun comp.

If I had to go hunt birds, again the M2.

    Truck gun, side folding 870.

    But...

If I was in a spot where I found myself hunting two legged creatures -

Wow that is beautiful!! No real main use just wanting a high quality defensive shotgun. I now just have to talk my self into spending the money. I am going to try and find a nice used one somewhere first before I buy new. Thanks for the post!

That one pictured is not mine. My current config is full size with extended mag tube with Aimpoint T1 and Surefire X300. Shorties are nice but you lose ammo capacity, add about $600 to the weapon cost and additional $200 tax stamp.

If you can find one used and it has not been abused it should be fine.

I live in Vegas and they have machine gun rental stores that tourists shoot anything their heart desires. Well they have Benelli M4's on the rental wall. In talking with the guys that work there, they said the gun see's about 500 rds a day, is hardly ever cleaned and has been running trouble free for about 2.5yrs;) - they are wookie strong.
