Nice. South African Battle Packs rock. Ain't it a shame that in all of Tacoma World there aren't more beautiful FALs?

That's what I like to hear. Diversify. C'mon ya'll, the FAL is the right arm of the free world. Don't settle for just an AR15. Afterall, that's just a high powered varmint rifle- you want a real battle rifle don't you? Go for 7.62x51!

By the way, nice STG Motorjock 721- how many Steyr parts is she?

I see you have an AAC 51T Blackout Flash Hider on that Noveske. Might you have a suppressor to complement it?

I have installed DSA Speed Triggers into both my FALs. They have a nice crisp break like biting into a fresh green apple.

what is the weight and recoil like on you SBR FAL? I lean more towards the M1A myself, but that is a nice looking setup.

That little feller weighs about 9ish pounds. The VLTOR CASV rail system lightened it quite a bit from the DSA quad rail I had on it before. Also, the Mini-ACOG is of a negligible weight. Now as for recoil, it is not bad at all. Depending on what you want a rifle to do will dictate which rifle you should get. I got the SBR FAL for maximum punch/portability. Now is it a waste of the 7.62's capabilities? Sure is. Does it have a lot more punch than a 5.56mm rifle of the same size? Sure does. I think the M1A Socom 16's without the rails would make a superb little handy ranch rifle. I feel like the railed version is simply much too heavy- for that weight I'd want at least an 18" barrel, but that is just me. Honestly, I prefer the ergonomics of the FAL based rifle to that of the M14 based rifle. That is why I sold my M1A and bought an FAL. M1A's are great and if you like the way they feel they are generally a solid, reliable, and accurate platform. FALs are lighter, but they are generally harder to accurize, and some users report them to be finnicky, but I feel this is often an issue of over used military surplus parts and improperly adjusted gas systems. I actually like the adjustable gas system on the FAL as it allows you to adjust for variables in ammunition and a dirty weapon/adverse conditions. Bare in mind, these are all my OPINIONS, and I have no desire to argue with anyone, but I always enjoy hearing the opinions of other end-users.
