That Kel-Tec is total garbage in my opinion, I have seen too many of them broken....when you rack the pump the upper receiver has problems with cycling and the handle has a tendency to break off on the inside....Just my .02!!

Foglights are for fog, not oncoming traffic!
Exactly the opposite....but you're from NJ so I get it.
OP, you are not going to 'put down' a motivated bear without a perfect shot to disable the central nervous system, you can injure one to the point it loses interest in the fight.

Not to rant but: I have personally hiked all over the world. I am a NOLS grad. And have summited various peaks up to 19K feet. guns are not necessary unless you are hiking great distances alone. (from a safety standpoint hiking alone isn’t the best idea) I have personally seen grizzly bears (including Alaskan Kodiak) up close and personal while bush whacking. Every time I have seen one they run the opposite way. I have also been pepper sprayed and Bear mace is much stronger. Sh** hurts and it is very debilitating. You loose control of your sense of sight and smell. So will the bear. Now I understand the point of carrying a gun, but for me personally it is not worth the weight cost. The gun, then a brick of ammo, that will weight way more than 10 lbs. Also there are restrictions in a lot of national parks on Guns. (note: I am an avid gun collector and not a liberal hippy)

In all honesty do you think you can fire the necessary rounds at a charging bear to stop it in the necessary amount of time?

In conclusion I say be intelligent practice good bear avoidance habits. And for God’s sake don’t wear a bell. Bear mace is the best solution to protect yourself.
