    wow, sounds like a lot of guys are trying to have the OP buy the biggest baddest scope known to man:argue: ...I wish I had yalls budget...

    OP, for you needs you will have no problem with pretty much any leupold or nikon (even the lower end models) :eek: its crazy i know:rolleyes:

    Both me and my dad have had leupolds lower end 3-9x50 scopes on our hunting rifles, one on a .270 and one on a 7mm-08. We sighted them in years ago and they have served us well for many years. YMMV :cheers:

    Haha..What a joke..$400.00 will get you a nice optic for your hunting purposes.Sure,if you want to spend big bucks For a S.B. or N.F. top of the line optic go for it but its not necessary for your plans..

    Keep us posted. Now I think of it, I'd be very leery of shooting a big assed moose, a 175lb whitetail is a job to get out, dressed and quartered. Can't even imagine a moose.
