I bought my archery only tag (AO) and it says i can hunt in any area/season. Now does that mean i can hunt the A-31, A-32 ect areas? I just can only kill a buck. I was originally wanting to get the A-31 tag but they sold out fast.

well i get the d13 tag and the same tag works for d13 d11 and d15. So i can only kill one buck in any of those areas. so im guessing its the same. but only one deer per tag. if you kill one you can go buy your second deer tag.

like i said i only hunt in d13 but if d13 sells out i can get it for d11 or d15 and it will still work for all three. so im guessing the same thing happened to you. if it says both a31 and a32 on the tag you can hunt both with that tag.

some of my uncles hunt in A zones and said there is hardly any deer there. At least this year. I have hunted d8 once , up by kern river and we were only there for a day and i killed a buck. Do you usually get lucky over there?? i heard d9 up by mohavi has big bucks cause they are mule deer. I been there once too but didn't see anything.

i loved the hunt there dude, there is alot bigger bucks there, you dont see many does there (at least when i went) but everyones experience is different, i shot this buck with an arrow, shot to far high and hit him right between the eyes, he ran off into a lake and i had to swim after him

myself i have only killed two bucks, last year i took a 3x4 out in d8, but one of my good huntin buddys has killed 8 out of there in his "super secret" spot its just like any other zone, right place at the right time, if you want something to jump out in front of you, go to wyoming and hunt antelope you know?

    did you read the regs?

your AO tag is good for all zones, except a few..mostly X zones if i remember. you can hunt them all season with your bow. even during the rifle season.

i love the AO tag, and get one annually. even during rifle season, i love to hike about "hoping".

every year, i buy a POINT as first choice and an AO tag for second. i have about 5 points now. someday..i'll pull an X tag
