    I have tried for years and years to get my dad hunting. He is retired military 25 years. Was a D.I., tank commamnder, two tours in Viet Nam, SOG.
    After sitting with me for a couple years he decided to start. This is his first bird, spring 2011. 25 lbs, 1 1/4 spurs 11 inch beard. dropped him at 42 yards with a Beretta A391 Xtrema

    Thats a nice bird! I too got my first long beard this spring. He was prob on about 18lbs with a 10 inch beard and inch long spurs. Will always be a trophy in by book!!

    He is coming with me this fall, have a fighting pur set up for him to try out. Said it most likely wont be as easy as spring, but man he can sit for a long time and not move. Must be age and the military.
