    YOUNG! start with gun safety as early as you can! like my dad did. i new 4 years old(prob younger) not to touch his gun. he had it by the end of their bed for work. he could not really put it in a safe and they did not really have small pistol safes when i was little like they do now. treat every gun as if it’s loaded even if it’s not. and if someone hands you a gan check it don’t believe them if they say it’s not loaded because they may not have checked it. defiantly teach safety before going to a ranch. i think i first shot when i was 8? and it was a .22

    edit. bb guns don’t really count. still teach safety but not as far as shooting.
