Picked up a Westinghouse mfg'd Mosin Nagant and some ammo last weekend from my uncle. My great grandfather brought it back after fighting in WW1 but unfortunately my great uncle had it sporterized.

My uncle said that the ammo was worth more than the rifle. Any idea if I should bother selling the ammo, or just shoot the shit out of it? I never paid attention to this kind of thing in the past so I'm kinda lost.

The Norma stuff is missing 2 rounds, the Remington is missing 5.

Grains sound dry and good as any. Primers look good, no corrosion on the cases.

You can buy Norma 7.62 Russian for around $37 a box. If you reload, Norma has good brass for it. You can buy Russian made for like $5 a box. Shoot it, reload it, enjoy. Mosin ammo is nothing rare but it's a good round and you can get several different variants like tracer and armor piercing if you want to have some fun.
