this is a topic that will always be an argument people are waaayyyyy too into what they own or like so I say fuck it as long as you are armed and ready to do what you have to do it is your choice to carry whatever caliber you like just be sure you are as proficient as possible with whatever you have and when the time comes hope you trained harder than your opponent and remember the more you sweat in peace the less you bleed in war !

I'd pick the 9mm, and shoot the bastard 10 times. I carry a Glock 40 caliber and only need to shoot them once. I believe in open carry

I say 9mm. Cheaper ammo means more range time. More range time means better accuracy. A well placed shot of 9mm is far better than a poorly placed 45 shot.

A little of this and a little of that.
.45, but either way you go learn how to use it.

I own a .40 and love it. Out of your poll I said .45 but you didnt give the .40 an option. Test fire them out and see what one you like. I shot a few rounds of each and I just kept coming back to the .40

Kinda funny you say that. Last time I was at the range I spoke with an off duty Trooper that told me most of his fellow officers like to carry .40's for the penetrating power.

I love how everyone says a well placed 9mm is better than a poorly placed 45. Either way you go spend a ton of time at the range hell take classes if you can. A well placed 45 round is better than a well placed 9mm round

I'd have to go with the 9mm. Cheaper, more abundant rounds.

my EVERYDAY carry is a glock 30 in .45 it is the only pistol i have owned that after 2000 rounds down the pipe has never had a pistol related malfunction and after putting that many rounds through it i have total confidence in my ability to wield my piece accurately in any circumstance
