Mine functions well, and is a great shooter...but for all intensive purposes in my life...it's not the end all be all firearm that so many people make it out to be
I don't believe in limiting one's self to 1 particular gun...I wear very slim fitting shirts, and the width of my 1911 just makes it impractical to carry...along with the fact that it has a VERY short trigger pull (i havent measured but i'd guess it to be in the 2lb range)...and i've had the safety click itself off climbing out of my truck...i'm not ok with that because i have always, and will always, carry condition 1.
I'm also not always able to wear a nice belt with the extra rigidity necessary to deal with the weight of the gun
It doesn't point shoot for me as well as other things so it's essentially a range gun at this point...and a fine one at that...but i focus on other things when choosing a self defense pistol...and the 1911 doesnt fit the bill for me
