And the story was verified by a long-standing and much liked member of TW, who is employed by McMillan and is part of the McMillan family.

You are being rather disingenuous. Obama has done nothing against your 2A rights... Even NRA spokespeople said as much at recent NRA gatherings. Their biggest beef with Obama was with his judicial appointments... If even NRA executives say that Obama is largely uninterested in gun control, what does that say about your insinuation?

i'd have a rebuttal for you that would enumerate what's gone on behind the scenes, if this were a forum that would permit "such" discussion...

There is a difference between being Anti-2a and Pro-gun control.

Nope, hasn't done anything. Yet. But make no mistake that his radical affiliates and check writers expect him to, and his appointments and cronies all over will make their moves if a 2nd term is acheived. See "clinging to their religion and guns" for a look inside the condescending mind of a liberal socialist.

As for B of A, I took my business elsewhere.

    Nice post.

The point is, you can tell much about a man, and his true spirit, by the friends he keeps. And his friends and affiliates from way back until now are SCANDELOUS.

    Sad but true.

Sorry, sometimes the sarcasm filter goes on the fritz. :D

You raise a valid point about people and the company they keep, but it is something that can be said about nearly every politician, and is something that is only an issue when the person in question does something you do not like. (Not saying you in particular, more of a "society in general" type thing). If we are going to view the situation like that, then we have to do it for everyone, not just when it suits us or when something happens that we disagree with.

Quoting Fox News is not going to pull much weight with me (quoting any of the "Big 3" won't, not without a source that isn't as biased to go with it), especially a two year old article. I do not necessarily agree with that decision (certainly not in it's entirity), but it is also hard to argue that an influx of nearly 1 million additional semi automatic weapons is a great thing all the way around.

My perspective is that everything up until now, and all of the appointments, are "shaping operations" to put things in place to execute the "fundamental change in America" that was promised to the check writers and lobbyists who have funded the current office holder. Make no mistake, all those who made it possible expect favors in return. One only need listen and look to see who wants what. A second term will not be good for firearms owners in this country as it will encourage the radical fringe gun grabbers at the very least.

i could quote a dozen sources that tell the exact same story, ...that link just came up among the first in a web search... the story is fact, the fact trumps your earlier claim... i'd love to enumerate all of the other atrocities against gun rights w/you (assuming the mods would allow it as not being "political"), but start another thread for it...

Bank of America is a shit company.

I had the drawer on the ATM close while making a 300 deposit on my 18th birthday, causing half the money to be sticking out of the atm. So I of course called the number on the atm and took my money explaining the situation, I got home and they withdrew the money from my account twice, over drafting me on my birthday, called them back explained what happened again and was told it would be a week until they could fix it. I had to visit the branch 5 times of the course of two weeks before they finally gave me all my money back and got rid of the BS overdraft fees they hit me with when they withdrew $600 from my account that had less than $50 in it...

Here is a title of a recent article on the issue being discussed here:
Of course, the Obama administration has nothing to do with account management at Bank of America. From what I can ascertain, the Obama administration pretty much has been silent on the issue of gun control too, other than mentioning, from time to time, that they are considering the issue when it's been politically expedient to assuage the far left. Pissing off the 50 million gun owners in America would be political suicide in an election year.

LOL, you just can't please some people. This month the Obama administration reported that they were not going to pursue any new anti-gun legislation, to which executive vice president Wayne LaPierre of the NRA responded to by saying, “It’s all part of a massive Obama conspiracy to deceive voters and hide his true intentions [sic] to destroy the Second Amendment in our country.”

Remember the open carry advocates at some of the Obama rallies? If something similar would have happened at a Bush rally those people would have been jailed. Police and government agents rounded up protesters and placed them under armed guard in a "free-speech zone" during Bush's visit to Portland in a blatant violation of several Constitutional amendments. One would assume that all America was a free speech zone but this apparently is not the case. Outside the zone people were jailed for wearing T-shirts, carrying signs, or even commenting on the Bush administration. Strangely though, people carrying pro-Bush (or even anti-Democrat) signs and shouting pro-Republican slogans were free to gather and speak anywhere they wished.

Whether it's Tweedledum or Tweedledee in the White House doesn't matter all that much. The US is and has been run by economic concerns since colonial days. The "Revolution" was anything but -- it was a tax rebellion by the wealthy aristocracy, who quickly quashed any further shenanigans of this sort once they had gained power (e.g., the Whiskey Rebellion and Shays' rebellion).

This has nothing do do with the Civilian Marksmanship Program. I'ts about a proposed sale of old military weapons by South Korea. Also, the M1 and 30 carbine are hardly "antiques." If this is the case then the military is currently using "antique" M-2s and M1911A1s, not to mention that the M-16 will be considered "antique" next year by the 50-year-old rule.
