    Thank for the input guys. I'm definately going to check out that springfield xd while im there. It was somewhat outta my pricerange but its at a gun show and i can talk them people down like nobodies business.

    sorry...the wiki said Para was offering a few m1911s in that caliber...Springfield does indeed...Their 4" and 5" XD pistols are offered in .45 GAP

    nah...but theyre one of 2 (possibly 3) companies that make a .45gap...

    the idea behind the .45gap round is a good one...but i think itd be pretty tough to introduce a new round into the market when so many people are already using the .45acp and .40s&w
