Kalifornians, ..Legislator To Introduce Bill to Ban "Bullet Buttons"...

Important to remember the distinction between Paul's CGN and the Foundation.

CGN is a communication medium, and for better or worse, it has it's flaws and issues with trolls. My issue with it is the classic "With friends like you, who needs enemies".

US is 308 million.
California alone is home to 38 million.
The populations of New York City and Los Angeles alone are only about a million under the entire population of Canada.

If every gun were eliminated from the US, crime would not be reduced. It just would not be "gun crime"
A gun is simply a tool... good or bad.
A knife, baseball bat, or rubber hose is simply a tool, good or bad.

Which in turn would ban the very gun that produced the section under the law that allows the bullet button.

Banned: SKS with detachable magazine.
Not banned: SKS with fixed magazine.

The SKS with fixed magazine is designed to allow the magazine to be removed using the tip of a bullet as a tool.
The bullet tip being defined as a "tool" and the legal status of the gun are defined in the PC.

To close the "loophole", he has to ban a gun that is specified as not being banned on the Kasler and Robert-Roos lists.

I know full well the distinction, been to oaks place, met bweis and brandon a few times, I've been on the forum since the oll days joined with my new screen name in 08 so I've been there for most of it. I was actually One of the first cgn booth volunteers at the cow palace.

I could go on for days why I stopped going there and have very little respect for many there including the almighty. The foundation is great though not perfect, I still donate. and while there is a difference it is, or at least it was hard to tell at times.

 

California defines an "assault rifle" as a semiautomatic centerfire rifle with a detachable magazine and any one or more of:
Collapsible/folding stock
Pistol grip
Vertical forward grip
Flash hider (threaded barrel is not restricted)
Grenade launcher

OR....

A semiautomatic centerfire rifle with an overall length of less than 30"
A semiautomatic centerfire rifle with a fixed magazine having a capacity of greater than 10 rounds.

Lived in Halfmoon Bay four years, loved the outdoors, hated the Gov.

My first introduction the the keep me safe no matter what mentality, was a park ranger speed gunning me on my mountain bike on a down hill decent.

I had to ask him what the hell he was doing. He replied keeping me and park goers safe...

I told him I have been mountain biking on shared trails all throughout the country; me, the hikers, and horses respected each other just fine with out his speed trap.

Take back your state! Mainly cause I would like to visit!

Stuff half the population of the country into Toronto and just watch how high per capita crime goes.

Canada is an amazingly beautiful country. Most of it is ( by definition ) uninhabited,but it is the OPPOSITE of a barren wasteland.

definitions..

barren : adjective : unproductive; unfruitful: barren land.

wasteland : noun :
1.
land that is uncultivated or barren.
2.
an area that is devastated, as by flood, storm, or war.

Uninhabited for the most part perhaps,but far from a barren wasteland.

California as a region has SO much to offer both inhabitants and visitors ! I can't think of any other place I've been where you can walk out your door on a beautiful 75 degree day,pack your truck,and within a couple of hours be surrounded by snow and changing from your shorts,t-shirt and sandals to a heavy winter coat,pants and boots. Love the state for sightseeing and the ride along the pacific coast highway will do wonders for the soul.

The Liberal politicians and media there have made it a place unwelcome to all that isn't cute and fluffy. It's a damned shame. For the folks that live there good luck.
