    wow, assault rifle :/

its a semi automatic rifle like any other it just looks like a military rifle hence what gun people call them military style rifles. its all our fault if you own guns maybe speak up and try to do something about these crazy ass laws or remain quiet and suffer more and more restrictions. i'm sure there are many more in the pipe line.

not trying to be political here just a general piece of info that would help us all. i live in jersey and our laws blow as well its gotten so confusing and annoying i'm actually going to move out of the state completely asap no shit.

Honestly all I have to add is one of my favorite quotes by Thomas Jefferson.

"The beauty of the Second Amendment is that it will not be needed until they try to take it."

The way to stop these laws are to elect 2nd amendment friendly and gun friendly legislators at all levels of government.

If you don't vote for the right candidates, don't complain about the laws.

Vote the "bad" ones out, vote the "good" ones in.............attend candidates nights forums and ask the "are you gun/2nd amendment friendly" and get it on the record.

The State of California's definition of "assault rifle" is defined as any semiautomatic, centerfire rifle, that has what some politicians feel are "scary" features.

One highly educated senator believes that a "barrel shroud" is a "shoulder thing that goes up"
Another one believes that a pistol grip allows one to "shoot from the hip without reloading"

They get this shit from Hollywood and think that anything that LOOKS like a military gun IS a military gun.

An assault rifle is a select-fire, fully automatic "machine gun"... and those are NOT readily available.
They are not available at all in California, and they are very tightly controlled in the rest of the US.
NOBODY can just walk into the local sporting goods store and purchase an M16.

The only difference between my AR15 pattern rifle and my dad's 1965 Sears .30-06 is the pistol grip.
Because of the pistol grip, my magazine must be fixed, or non-detachable without using some kind of a tool.
His .30-06 is far more powerful, but his magazines can be detachable.

This is our battle.... butt out.
