need a new pocket knife

I know absolutely nothing about pocket knives. I like to carry one just for cutting stuff and I know how to sharpen them, but that is where my knowledge ends. I am looking for a 3" - 3 1/2" single blade folding pocket knife in the below 40.00 range. Is there any out there worth getting?
Thanks for the help,
Rich

Keep it timeless and durable with a Case pocket knife. they are collectors pieces and are always sought after, at least down here in the south. i love them. good everyday knife for whatever. but its up to you. do you like traditional or tactical? belt clips or no clips. my personal favorite is a Case Trapper. they have been around forever, but can get pricey.

I carry a Benchmade Mini Griptilian. Check them out. High quality, perfect size and holds a good edge.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I actually bought 2 knives I purchased the M16-10z and a regular CRKT Ryan Seven. Amazon has some pretty good deals on these right now. I got both knives for ~41.00.

I've had 3 or 4 of the CRKT M16s- the older ones without the little red safety lock buttons are better. Steel's pretty soft, in comparison to the SOG Twitch I carry now.

This is true... But Benchmade is gonna last you a lot longer than $40.
The only I have has lasted me two deployments to Afghanistan. And they have a life time warranty and you can send them in to have them sharpened.
