Sig 239

Anybody out there have one????

Wife recently completed her CCW qualification and shot the instructors 239.....fit her hand, she shot well and she liked it.

Comments, pros and cons appreciated.....new/used, price you paid???

Sigs are good guns but I personally don't like the 239. It doesn't fit me well but if your wife likes it that's all that matters. A few years ago I would have suggested looking at a 225 but I think the prices have gone up lately.

 

I Love my 239 - I have it in the .40 S&W.

I love the SA/DA function and the de-cocking mechanism.

I guess the con's would be the complicated action system. If something is acting up, it can be hard to eliminate the problem. (I have yet to have any problems with quality ammo)

EDIT: I just realized you asked about a 239, not a 229. My bad. I have a 229.

 

My son has a 239/9mm. It's both accurate and reliable, classic SIG. Another gun that fits smaller hands well is Kahr. I have a K40 that's been 100% reliable and accurate.
