Ruger k10/22 sling swivel

I just picked up a K10/22 (stainless, synthetic stock). I clamped on a BSA RGB dot sight, and all is good. but one accessory just isn't enough. I plan to add a sling and tac light. To that purpose, I will put an accessory band on the front, but here is the big question: Has anyone here installed a sling swivel on the butt stock of one of those? Did it stay screwed in? Did you use any adhesives?

Looks just like on the Ruger website - stainless with black synthetic stock.

Why the light? They are legal in Oregon for raccoon control.
