but he said he had his concealed permit right? so why be a dickhead and open carry in public when he knows everybody is going to be watching him when he could just as easily concealed? he was asking for attention.

both parties involved are in the wrong.

At the behest of the mayor and police chief, Colorado Springs police will conduct an “expedited review” of the mistaken arrest of a man openly carrying a pistol at Acacia Park in July.

Barbara Miller, police spokeswoman, wrote in a release that the Mayor Steve Bach and Police Chief Pete Carey agreed that the chief will immediately launch an investigation into the 24-year-old’s man July 21 arrested for an outdated law banning guns in parks.

Open carry or Concealed it doesn't matter. He was arrested and detained by a government agent for doing something lawful.

Heads should rolls and police officers should be held personally responsiable along with the department.

Exactly it's bs. Cops need to know the law. I don't give a fuck of y'all thinkig he wanted attention etc, he was within the statutes and did nothing wrong. Timid cops it seems. Just goes to show government officials are more afraid of its citizens then rather doing their jobs.
