Well my deer season has come to an end. I didn't take anything this year but my brothers and mom did.

Looks like your mom beat out one of your brothers, but that third pic is a beaut. Better luck next year! The one you missed this year will be 20 lbs. heavier next year.

The one I missed put all these to shame. I was walking a interior fenceline when I saw a buck step out about 10 feet in front of me. He paused for just a split second and bolted into the brush. Only time I had seen him.

What part of the country are you from? Those all look bigger than the ones I see in New England.

Someone posted pictures on here the other day of Texas largemouth bass. They were bigger than what we get up here to. I hope to take a vacation in Texas someday, looks like nice country.

Sorry you did not bag one this year, but join the crowd. Your family got some nice ones, especially the odd ball in the last pic.
Knew there was a reason I needed to hunt Texas :D

You know whats funny, I saw every one of these bucks before my family did. I just like to let the young ones walk, wish the family could too.

We have a standing tradition on our place, we wont mount anything unless they tie or are bigger than my grandmothers and grandfathers bucks.

Good call on how you all will or will not mount a buck, the ones I have on the way, they just have a story behind them. The one I have not the biggest (hoosiertaco seen it) was TOTALLY screwed up by the head shop. True artist are hard to find now a days.

nice bucks by grandma and grandpa....I think it will be awesome to pass down my wallhangers to the next generations...
This is part of the key to a wallhanger. My favorite trophy to this day was a small turkey I took with my 5 year old son.(wonderfull memory) The thrill of the hunt, and the story behind it, is sometimes what makes it a true trophy.(of course lots of horns and big beards are nice too:eek:)
