Anyone have any experience with the 92fs? My dealer has a couple of these and was wondering if I should jump on it?

I've shot the Beretta M9 (92F) a number of numbers. It's not my favorite.

I fired one a few times, I liked it. But I don't have extensive experience with it

I was looking for one for when I can legally get one...haha

It's all about personal preference. Shoot it, if you like it and the price is right, go for it.

The 92FS is a very popular handgun that's issued by many LE agencies and the military. That has to mean something right? But everyone that I've talked to that was issued one (LE and military), hates them.

How is it compared to the Glock series, since a lot of my friends suggested it over the Beretta?

When I returned from overseas i bought a glock. It was the first handgun that i had touched in a long time other than the 92f. I love my glock. Way better than the 92f IMO. Not even in the same class

I guess I give glock a second look, I promised myself my next purchase would not be a polymer pistol.

Hey, Have you checked out the XD series? I like them as well as the glock ( first time anyone in the world ever said that)

Take into consideration That I am biased. I really truely dislike the 92f because of the inital lbs on the trigger squeeze. I also dislike it due to its ability to jam under heavy fire.

It may have just been the armys guns. But try and fire everything you can before spending that $

I have fired the 92fs on several occasions, pretty much reminds me of a regular M9. It is a decent gun and one that I will most likely put in the safe (SS version) But definitely wouldn't be a carry gun for me.

Agreed yet again .....Glocks or any of the XD lineup are not even in the same class. They are easier to handle more comfortable and WAY easier to conceal, at least if you are not rocking the 5.5", I have a couple of both the XD series and Glocks. Depending on what I am carrying that day they go with me all over the place, unlike a 92FS which would stay all lonely in the safe!!

Take a look at the grip angle between the Glock and Springfield XD or XDM. Hold them and see which is more comfortable. There is a pretty noticeable difference.

Man, some of the comments here make me wonder if I bought the right gun or not.
    It's my first.
I've fired an XD40 and a G17 pretty extensively. The shop I bought my 92FS from was out of the G's and I didn't want the xd. Logically the steel framed, sexy as fuck Beretta was the next option. I like the external hammer so all shots can be SA.
I just haven't ever fired one.

It was on sale, so I figured I can't really go wrong.

We'll see how I like it in 5.5 days. :D

    I liked it :anonymous:

Though I didn't have to carry it for 9 months...

You shouldnt have any problem. I definatly wouldnt want one for my "end of world guns". LIke I said earlier, It is all up to you and how you feel about it. The first squeeze is around 15lbs, the 2nd should be around 5-7 lbs. Just do a trigger job. And all the guns the military has, they rebuild POSs for years before they replace them.

All depends on what you need it for:D

I had one of those love hate relationships with it. I loved it because if i ran out of ammo i had a secondary. I hated it, well because of the jamming issues I saw and the lbs on the trigger
