    I've been on the firing line at the federal academy in Glynco, GA when there was an ND. Scared the shit out of all of us.

    Guy put a mag his P226 with the chamber empty and closed. Had his little stubby finger on the trigger and went to chamber a round, BOOM.

    i dont think there is suck thing as a glock 40 atleast ive never heard of it, maybe he meant a glock in .40

    That is a fullsize glock... 40 cal. He didnt give the proper name for it. I have the compact wich is a 23...so it may be the 19 or 22

    yea thats true. in a dept of 20 guys we dont really have "desk jobs" and all have a personal relationship with our chief/admin. it would still be an unconfortable situation to be in though, just knowing you let everyone down.

    I think "cook off" is something not adequately covered in safety curriculum and discussions.
    Hang fire is discussed, but you rarely hear about cook-off.
    Neither is a problem if proper safety protocol is followed.
