I am not a huge fan of them....almost bought a 16s and after doing some serious shooting with them and talking with others that owned them I decided to go another route...I hope your experience is different though, because they are very good looking rifles. After operating with a full auto piston driven system I will gladly take a gas system over one any day. Recreational purposes may vary.

I've shot a Scar side by side with a XCR

    Both of which, shot suppressed/unsuppressed

    Lessons learned:

    XCR is a simpler design
    XCR isnt polymer (nice)
    Scar suppresses like dogshit
Scar chamber is impossible to visually brass check.

Thats what i took away. both are are too goddamn expensive for what they actually are.

Why do you say it suppresses bad? In my experiences it didn't hurt its performance at all. I do agree it is tricky to look in the chamber but I think its well worth the money if someones looking for a 308 compared to my m1a's

Prices actually dropped a little, and black is the cheaper of the to so consider that. but the more I shoot it the more I love it. if you was closer Id let you shoot mine first

AK is my next one im looking at as a bday present lol and ive got a 243 for hunting and everything but i wanna 308, im stuck between the FN scar, not stuck on one color but prefferably the tan flat dark earth and the other being the Ruger scout rifle. One being around $2000, the Ruger $800 but thats without mods ect. And the Scar would be one of those id be the first outta the people i know to have.

Im getting an AK soon, look into a m1a if you want 308 and this cost too much. those are also fun
