    this is a huge win!

    from rmodel's SAF press release:
"“That the court will give Illinois lawmakers six months to craft a law allowing carry outside the home recognizes that the right to bear arms means what it says,” Gottlieb concluded. “The ball is now in the Legislature’s court, and we eagerly wait to see how well they can live up to their responsibility.”"

...IL got a major smackdown, ...court commands legislature to address it!!!

Sweet. This is why I wasn't depressed with the open carry ban in CA. Los Angeles is now like Illinois. They do not issue CCW because there is no just cause. Open carry is not allowed. This is ripe for the court to force a major change! One can only hope that Illinois is arrogant enough to push this to the Supreme Court.

bummer, the grounds for the decision might not be as clean as I first thought to get through the Supreme Court... still a good chance though.

The last paragraph in here states:
Of course, that is if history truly matters. If only the operative text -- particularly any assumptions that can be made from that text -- of the Second Amendment matters, SCOTUS will uphold Moore as proper.
