No, in cali the XDm are "evil" and not on the roster, listed as LEO only weapons. You can only get one transferred from a family member or face to face transfer. What's dumb is they have all same safety features as the XD's just with better parts, like match grade barrels. CA gun laws are ridiculous and make no sense

I did my research when I got out of the military and wanted an XD. Went and held and shot it and decided on my Kimber 1911 instead. It is a good gun, no doubt. Just keep in mind that if you have never held or shot one you may not like the way it feels. Just a factor to consider.

And keep in mind, what feels good in your hand might NOT be what you shoot best. Go to a range where you can rent one and try it out. I have had quite a few pistols that felt good in hand but I could not shoot them well. YMMV

Well I want to get rid of this Bowflex, so I'm getting it regardless if I like it or not. It's a lot easier to sell a gun than a home gym :)

Speaking of branching out, I'm converting my Glock .40 to 9mm.....cheaper to shoot!!! Also on the horizon is a .22 conversion kit.

I bought my XDm .40 brand new for 575.00 4.5" and love it...it used to be my carry weapon but was way to cumbersome. It is still the "go to" piece in my house though. I also had mine done in the OD green. Great weapons out of the box, but could definitely use a trigger job IMO!!

So I got it. There is a little bit of rust on it, which surprises me. Stainless steel and rust? Apparently it's common. Any idea how to take it off? Someone suggested a solvent. Doesn't help. Someone suggested Barkeepers Friend... doesn't help. I also tried a fine wire brush and that didn't help. It's not bad, but there's a little bit.

Other than that, it is a pretty damn nice gun. Still worth the trade.

It is tough to beat the .357 SiG round, great ballistics and a pleasure to shoot. Too bad it is such a pricey round.

I also have a Glock 32C which is a .357 Sig....I love the gun, it is a great carry as well as good tactical shooter.
