It does to me for an HD shotgun. Best place to lose 2" is in the stock though. Being able to tuck that stock in close and shoot square to target lets me move left/right much easier.

Here's my 18" HD gun with youth stock. Pretty short overall and much more manuverable than my clays shotguns or even my Winchester 1300 with full size stock and 20" barrel.

    ShortyShotty_97376062d777ded6681ef36f922f0605f9b8c8a0.jpg

A 20" gun in your room is way better than the 18" gun that you don't have though, so if you can't change it, train with it and run what you brung.

Good looking gun! Yeah I can't really change the stock and I just got it ac couple months ago. I will definitely get time behind the gun and clear rooms around the house when no one is home :D

    Thanks - it's an older Surefire M3 mount and a weaver-style ring.

anyone got good recommendations for a chest rig or webbing belt?

just to have one if I want to run one....

I used to run an issued LBV/FLC with a bunch of MOLLE mag pouches, a dump bag...

now I just put a few mag pouches on my riggers belt

none really at all, i have put a few $ into it. i have the sadlak guide rod, sadlak nm tin piston, and the extended mag release. Also a guide rod buffer helps with the recoil a bit. I have never used grease on it either only the frog lube paste and it runs like a damn champ. looking into getting a forged bolt package from fulton armory and a few other odds and ends. but by far my favorite stick in the safe

im sold, its a little extensive at first, but the positives far outweigh any negatives. i use the liquid for coating the inside of the barrel when its hot. paste goes on everything else with little brushes. all my weapons then get wiped down except the m1a. it gets to keep the film of paste on the guts. clean up is amazing and you dont have to was your hands multiple times to get the smell off. smells kindy like a minty iceyhot

i'm gonna be in MISS. for spring turkey season, my 12 gauge will only shoot 2 3/4, my 20 gauge will shoot 2 3/4 and 3'', which should i choose?
the 20 has a synthetic stock so it shouldn't matter if i wrap the stock in camo tape.

So...I bought an FN SLP MK1 today...yeah, the one with the 22" barrel, lol. It may or may not serve an HD role but 8+1 in a semi-auto is hard to pass up when a good deal comes by.
