Neither would I. I had read something thought about the chambers in blocks not being fully supported (not sure what that means) and that's why they can be finicky about shooting reloads and steel casings.

Just another "Wonder Bullet" imo. Too many new companies trying to reinvent the wheel.
I can load a traditional bullet within specs that will drop any threat I face. Not to mention there is commercial ammo that will do much the same without the need of some marketing gimmick.

I shot my first 50 rounds out of my new shield 9mm on Saturday. I really like the way it shoots and its right much less snappy than the .40 that my father in law had before he sold it. I've got to learn how to shoot it better though, I shoot right handed but I'm left eye dominant and I was trying to shoot with both eyes open but I found myself shooting right I think thats right. I'm not sure if next time I need to close my left eye and see if I shoot any more accurate. I've got to learn how to shoot the 3 dots too I guess. Do you put the "bulls eye" right above the dots or do you put the dots over the "bulls eye" looking down the slide?

Thinking of picking up a SIG P320C. I would like to shoot one first but can't find any ranges that have one to rent. Any opinions? It's getting great reviews and looks great on YouTube.

I'm caught between the 229, 320 compact, and M11A1. The M11 is catching my eye more and more since it has all the features and finish of the 229 without a rail and such so it's a better carry weapon rather than home defense. It also comes standard with corrosion resistant parts, night sights, and a short reset trigger.

The only thing holding me back on the 320 is the polymer finish. I also like the external hammer and de-cocking features of the 229 and M11 rather than the striker fired of the 320.

I think the only real difference in choice between a lot of Sigs is whether you like the grip, you like striker fired or not, and your preference on DA/SA or DAO. They're all really great guns.

If you're looking at a m11 you might as well go with a 226 frame. The 226 and 229 are the same height, so from a carry standpoint printing will be the same.

    226 is about 1/2'' longer than a M11 or 229. M11 is off a 228 frame I believe.

    M11 is a 229 with Sig's anti-snag frame and parkerized internals.

It's what was issued to the pilots in my Hornet squadron. I later qual'ed on them but was never issued one. I preferred the frame mounted decocker as opposed to the M9's slide mounted safety.

Given the choice I'd rather carry a model which has the ok from the military, especially the Navy since it sees the salt environment.

Another one I'd look into is the older MK24 without the rail.

Don't use the dots to line up, they're for quick reference in low light.

Put the straight-top-edge of your lined up sights right in the middle of the bulls eye.

Can't help you with your eyes, I'm a lefty, but luckily I'm right eye dominant and shoot right.

I believe the M11 still has the 228 grips though, going off this picture and info I've read. And yes, I am leaning towards this since it has the corrosion resistant parts, night sights, stock 3 magazines, short reset trigger, and it is proven in the military.

I learned a long time ago there was no way I could compete with the guys that do it for a living, I let the stipplers stipple.

Maybe it's a 229 slide, and 228 frame? IDK, The short reset trigger is a big + also.

Probably going to rent Sig 229, 320 Compact, and M11A1 this weekend at my local range, I'll update here with my impressions for anyone interested.

M11 is at the top of my list for right now, we will see how they all fire. I've only fired the 229 of the above in the past.
