Mine has never slipped ether. But if it does start to interfere with the mag you can just trim a bit off of it.

All these guys with the LCPs, how are they for shooting?

I have shot the LC9 and hated it I can shoot it worth a darn, at about 10-20 ft I could keep it in a torso size area, but that isn't good enough for me personally. I can take a pro carry 1911 (that is the short handle short barrel correct) and shoot much much better

how much further out are you planning on shooting in a self-defense situation? that's pretty much all these were made for. a small, very concealable, close quarters shooter.

I know that is what they are made for, just drives me nuts That I can't get a decent group at what to me is a fairly close range. With My .45 colt ruger new model Black hawk, I can very easily keep less than a six in group when shooting at about 10 yards, while I know it Is a drastically different gun, but I can do close to that with most hand guns.

Yea, even mine weighs a shit ton. I plan on putting a bigger/better scope on it (the one on it there is now on my Browning) which will probably make it weigh even more. Its a great shooter though.

While I won't disagree with anything you said I will add that it's also substantially more expensive than an LCP and IMO has WAY too much going on for a BUG. I like my BUG to go bang! when I draw and press the trigger in a stressful situation. The Sig P238 (much like the LC9 I waited so patiently for) just has too many switches and levers for a BUG for my taste. I like simple when it comes to defense weapons. Glock 19? Check. LCP? Check. Good to go.

Thats nice and light. I googled the stock trigger pull but couldnt find a definitive answer (people were saying anywhere from 3.5 - 7 lbs). Id say mines on the high side.

How so? all it has is a mag release and safety. I actually hate the small guns and would bump up the size a bit for a defense pistol.

It has a magazine disconnect safety (won't fire w/o mag inserted) as well as a shitty little body safety which is difficult to manipulate during moments if high stress. No thanks. I would buy it and just not ever activate it but I'm left with a lever that not only does me no good but it gets in the way at best and accidentally activates in a life or death situation at worst. I really wish they had just made a slightly larger LCP for the 9mm cartridge as that was the perfect BUG design IMO. Lots of people like myself expected an oversized LCP prior the release of the LC9 and I was horribly disappointed when I first laid hands on it at SHOT Show a few years ago. I also hate magazine disconnect safeties because if you follow the four rules of firearm safety this will never be an issue. Trusting ANY safety is recipe for disaster and becoming dependent on these crutches teach bad habits. Bottom line, it's just too small of a weapon to be worrying about manipulating tiny little switches and levers in unusual places when the adrenaline dumps.

I understand but the p238 is defiantly a shoot a lot gun compared to a carry a lot shoot a little gun. Ive never shot the Ruger but the Kelt tec and other polymer guns are a bitch. I was surprised at how nicely the 238 handled.
