A Bianchi 57 holster and 200 rounds of ammo for my new M&P 9c. I wanted an OWB holster and my normal source didn't have the DeSantis Mini Slide that I usually use for it. I took a chance on the Bianchi 57 because it was less than half the cost of the Galco Concealable, and I'm glad I did. Bianchi still makes a quality holster, even though most are made in .mx now.

Pro tip: Use a razor blade to hold the detent in while you position the pin. With a little practice using this method take-down pins take only a few seconds.

I stick a rod through the front of the receiver that is the same diameter as the pivot pin. The rod holds the detent and spring in place then I use the pin to push the rod back out and the detent pops into place in the pin.

This is what I used to do years ago too. The problem is your 'rod' is curved & the detent can slip past the crown & go flying. Hold a razor blade flat against the receiver face w/the spring & detent loaded & as you put your pin in place you simply slide your razor blade up & out of the way. The pin is in place before you remove the razor blade so it works awesome.

Here's a picture to illustrate what I'm trying to explain:

    Try it sometime.

That's the method I used. Worked great. I took the razor out of the utility knife and used just the blade to make it easier though.

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
Any advice on a good belt to use for my IWB when I get it?

I have been researching like crazy, but haven't checked any in-person...a few notes on what I want/need:

    1.75" Max width
    Prefer Nylon w/ Velcro
Would like to have an insert for added rigidity
    Preferrably <$60
*will be using it for an everyday use belt, whether I am carrying or not*

A few I am thinking about:

    5.11 Operator
    Spec Ops Better BDU
    Uncle Mike's Instructor
    Bianchi Nylon 7202

Benson - I have the unlined Galco Instructors belt and I highly recommend it. It's unlined but it has five stitches through it and is super stiff. There is a lined version but the unlined is plenty rigid for a holster and almost everyone prefers the unlined belt. I can't bend it in half lengthwise, if that's any indication of stiffness.
