Thanks for the input guys. I will look into those ones tonight. There seems to be a lot of similarities between them all, but comfort, reliability, and longevity are my main concerns.

Seriously awesome quality in his belts. Just ordered the Everyday Belt and can't wait to get it - up to 7 weeks production time

 

LMT 10.5" upper, LPK, grip, buffer assy, MOE CARB Stk. What else.....oh ya... AAC SDN-6.

Now I wait.... The Upper and Lower will be done by the end of next week probably.

Stamps on the lower, and the can, will be filed next week as well.

 

Ordered an Adams Arms Piston M4. I've always been an AK guy and like piston guns. Thought I'd give a piston M4 a try. Heard good things about Adams Arms. We'll see. I'll post pics when I pick it up.

 

I use the 5.11 Double Duty 1.75". I wear it everyday whether or not I am carrying. Cheap and solid. Easily adjusts, never wiggles loose.

I've found several ways to do this and there's usually some degree of drama with each. Practice will probably help, as this is my second build.

I can keep the spring and detent in the hole with a 1/4" rod through the pivot pin holes. Then when pushing the pivot pin into the pivot hole it gets caddywampus and escapes.
I wound up doing these inside a gallon-sized plastic storage bag...Baggies by Hefty, the non-zip version. At least I can usually recover the projectiles that way and start over.

I've since found that a couple beers seem to help.

I have those for competitions & Tactical Terry days but for day to day use I use a 5.11 Leather Casual Holster belt and love them. Great value for the money.

 

I'm telling you, just try the method I posted and you'll be glad you did. I used to do it the same way before I discovered this and I will NEVER go back to that method.

 

Just got 500 230gr ball nose 45acp bullets in the mail. Time to reload some.

 

That's something I really need to/want to learn how to do. At the moment, I don't have the time but when things slow down I'm going to take that up.

 

I enjoy it. Helped dad when I was small and have learned how to do it. Its not bad or really hard just time consuming. Don't get in a rush.

I pulled the trigger (pun intended) on a Jones Tactical EDB. Not much more than the other ones I was eye'ing, and the quality seems impeccable.

The ONLY downside is I will probably have to wait 7+ weeks to get it (some guys were waiting closer to 3 months for theirs)

That it is. The two fixed blades (dagger & 375 Adamas after I wrap the handle w/paracord) will go on my battle belt and the Infidel will go in my pocket for EDC and the wife may get the Mini Infidel for her EDC.

 

Will do, next time. I did see a utube with a guy using a single-edge razor blade but I like your way best.
