Found a sale on 30-30 Core-Lokt and may have gotten slightly carried away.

200 rounds of 30-30 equals a lot of deer. A good ammo can to pack up and put away for a rainy day.

    AND THEN?!

    X2
    :pout:

Personally, I prefer the .32spl for an all-around cartridge, but you never see that popping up for $14 a box. Cheapest I've found it for lately was $22/box for Leverevolution at an 'end of deer season' sale last year.

I spent last night vacuum sealing the boxes in mylar with a mini-pack of dessicants each. Should be good for a few centuries now, haha!

    Icky poo.
It looks like they just laser-etched a damascene-esque pattern into the hammer AFTER they were done machining it.

I'm sure that they probably did machine it from a block of damascus. The problem is that the sintered stuff doesn't look organic enough; the lines are almost too regular. So when they machine it the lines end up looking like laser etching.

    Pity.

Shrug. Unless we're overrun by zombies I'll probably never run through 200 rounds of 30-30 hunting ammunition. On the other hand, I won't have to worry about what happens to the prices for it in the future, haha!

See, silver lining in everything. You should vac seal that shit up if you have one. I do that with my .270 ammo. I have about 200 rounds of Hornady .270 130 gr interlock SST that is about $32 a box.

I used my vac sealer that I got for when I hunt. Works great for ammo too. Throw in one or two of the desicant packets for moisture. Your good for 20+ years.
