went to walmart yesterday with the GF... checked the ammo for shitz n giggles... to my surprise, they has a case of 500 (25 boxes) of american eagle .223 at $8.06 a box. total came out to $26 and some change for each of us.

    Review on taurus slim.
    Pros
Very good light frame very easily concealed even with shorts and a tshirt.
    Easliy and quickly disasembled
Shot several diffrent brands of ammo through it over 300 so far
no fail to eject or fail to fires
    Very reliable
    Recoil is manageable

    Cons
Anything over 21 feet was not accurate
Sights are kinda difficult to use properly but have heard the glock sights are compatible so will proably go that route
Does not come wih speedloader and only one mag

Other than those things very happy with the gun

    Very cool.
I love mine. Replaced the grips with Raasco Dymwood crimson, replaced the ambi safety with a Colt GI, Ed Brown arched MSH, and GI guide rod and plug (I never cared for the full length).

I love my RIA compact. I had never had a 1911 before this one and now I don't know why I would ever buy another type of pistol.

i have one, one of the most accurate out of the box rifles you can get. and once you get a decent stock for it they are insanely accurate! when i use to hand load i got .25 groups at 125 yds and that was with the original hogue crap!
