Bought a couple of boxes of 45 Long colt from the local shop, and ordered some 360 grain 45LC from Doubletap ammo.

I hate buying .45 lc ammo, the stuff costs too much....it is actually what got me to reload.

I bought 2 boxes of norinco 9x18 makarov ammo and a box of 9x18 hornady custom XTPs

It's pretty pricey. I was able to find 255 gr plated with starline brass though. 50 rounds for $28 at freedom munitions. The double tap stuff was closer to a buck a round.

And yeah, I picked up a set of dies while I was out today. :)

28 bucks for 50 is a really good price compared to what usually have to pay for factory ammo around here (35), I reload with hardcast for around 9$ per 50

And I bought a set of night sights and a holster for my cz82 last night

I tried that one, couldn't get it to mount solid enough for my taste. I was attempting to get my Shield .40 to ride there.

I picked up a new production barrel assembly for my stainless 44mag. Now I need to get a holster made for it. :) I'll get assembled pictures up later tonight.

LV's pretty neat wood. So dense it sinks in water, incredibly resistant to rot, and self-lubricating. The last two are why they used to use it on the prop shafts on submarines. Almost every sub the US built during WWII had Greenheart on the prop shafts, according to my history books about the Balao, Gato, Sargo, and Tambor class subs.
I think they were still using Greenheart in the Tench class boats, too...
I've got a LV mallet in my woodshop, sucker hurts like hell when you bash a thumb with it.

Bought a Savage Model 11 243 Winchester. When I went to pick it up from the FFL I use he had a brand new Norinco SKS for sale. My son has been looking for one for a while so he and I went back there today and got it.

The Savage came with a black composite stock. I tried my hand at doing a camo job on it. Didn't come out too bad. Still need to put the clear coat over it. I'll post picks of the complete gun when I have it done.

I picked up a few of these. One will make it onto the rear window. I work in Cambridge, MA and see those other coexist stickers everywhere (the ones with the religious symbols) and felt really left out. Gotta fit in, right? :D
