fnx .45 acp tactical

Thinking about purchasing one in a couple months. Does anyone in the forum own one that could give me some insight on the gun. Everything I've read about it has been positive and I like that but I know every gun has horror stories.

 

I love mine, heavy loaded but a great pistol. Any specific questions about it? Id suggest holding one before just buying it though.

The dan wesson specialist has the frame cut away so you can use a crimson & trace laser grips. Others do not so laser hits the side of the frame when adjusting. The grip laser you can use for your 7 to 25 yards and the laser under the front of the frame then can be set out to 25 to 50 yards or more.

 

Just remember that the FNX 45 is an updated FNP 45 and hasn't been out long. If you're the type who wants 6 or 8 mags for each gun, you might be looking a while.

I'm searching for an additional 45 ACP host for my upcoming suppressor, but I've basically ruled out the FNX 45 Tactical as long as they're $1100+. I'd buy an HK before the FN at those prices. The non-threaded gun is significantly cheaper though.

 

I've actually found one for just under a grand. Hk are really good guns. If I decided to get an hk I would get a mk23. I like the feel of both hk and fn I guess it just comes down to which one I can find the best deal on when I have the funds and ready to purchase
