a friend installed a scope and he hated it. he said it got in the way of pumping that sheridan. he went back to a peep in the rear and he is a GREAT shot. have MAC1 install their peep.

I might do that. I have a peep now with a large aperture and dont like it. When he calls to saybits done I will speak with him. I called cause I wanted to be sure he had it and it didnt get lost somewhere. My thought is, it's a pellet gun that I use for fun no big rush

I got the hotrod (steroid) build and a scope mount. The scope mount was an after thought. I have a williams peep on the but it has a large ap and the older I get the harder it is to hit the bullseye (squirrel). The hotrod cost 115.00 and the scope mount was 50.00 I got the hotrod for obvious reasons but also the reg build was like 80.00 so i thought for the extra it wasnt bad. The scope mount was like I said an after thought. I have looked around and most places sell these shitty 4 piece barrel mount that doesnt work well. They cant be fully tightened and continue to loosen up. This is a one piece base that fits correctly. I will post up my opinion after some shooting. I know it is alot to spend but it was my father in laws and I want to pass it along as well

This thing is awesome. I loved shooting this thing before and was pissed when it shit the bed. I have been using it to plink since getting it back and it shoots great. It came back all lubed and with a bottle of his oil and directions on the best way to oil and store as well as pump. I can't say that it is better or more powerful cause it sucked before but it is definitely back to useable and fun. My father in law has an old scope and red dot for it that I will grab when visiting for Turkey Day. All in all easy to deal with, very professional, packaged well during shipping and my sheridan shoots well all the way up to 14 pumps.

No it isn't to bad. I still pump it my way, left hand on pump and right on top of action but he actually sends directions on how to hold and pump.

Did you end up throwing a scope on it or get a new peep? I've got a simple cheapo Centerpoint 4x32 on my .22 springer with some seriously heavy recoil and it's doing just fine. Two-piece dovetail mount. Might upgrade to a single since it's a break-barrel. Any scope should be fine on your MPP I'd think.

My neighbor had a fixed 4x shotgun scope. The shotgun scoped offers an extended eye relief. this was necessary due to the mounting location that was used(some type of clamp)
The shotgun scope also worked for this type of air gun as opposed to the barrel brake style. Those guns, due to a forward recoil(?) cause damage to a regular(firearm) rifle scope.
I have a vintage model also, but shoot iron sights for close quarter chipmunk assaults.
Dam things are always undermining my fieldstone s retaining wall.
Did you ever get your gun back BB?
