It's "using leaves and stuff to make shapes" I guess. I wouldn't worry about priming it, as you scrape the paint off, it makes an even better camo.

So much for going to Academy early in the morning to stock up on ammo. They have a new company wide policy that limits you to one box per caliber up to three boxes. There is another policy that puts a seven day restriction on the purchase of handguns and rifles from the date you make a purchase.

I picked up my Glock23 yesterday so I will have to wait till next Sunday if I want to make another firearms purchase.

It seems that Academy is trying to keep their shelves stocked longer than a few hours after the trucks arrive. As a retailer I do not see why they are limiting sales. If you're selling everything that comes off the truck there isn't an issue.

Ya the ones near me keep some ammo at customer service so u have to go up there to get it. They are just making it so everyone gets a chance to get some. They are going to sell it either way.

We have to keep clearing drains at one academy location. Someone flushing ammo boxes.
It was the security cables off clothing before Christmas.

If they sell EVERYTHING in one day, and can't restock for weeks, how will they pay their bills? How will they pay their employees?
The run on guns seems like a great thing for retailers, in the consumers mind. However, when the retailers run out of stuff to sell and they can't get more product, the retailer is screwed.

Just be thankful you don't have to wait 10 days after purchasing a gun to pick it up.

I'm all for keeping the shelves stocked, but your argument doesn't make any sense to me. If the store can sell everything they have in one day versus a week how does that mean less money coming in?

Yes, it is nice to be able to walk out with the firearm the day you buy it. However I did have a delay placed on my background check when I bought my Glock. I had to wait three days for the call to come in and pick it up.

Agreed....product is priced to cover overhead and include profit....selling the entire stock means just reaping the profit in one sitting.... the main reason for limiting is not looking out for the store but looking out for the customer and people who buy entire stock and go and flip it for a profit because of lack of supply....if the shelves were empty for an extended amount of time then it would be a problem for the store....it all comes down to their supply chain...

Selling 20rd and 30rd mags is the easiest money I've made in a while. I bought 20, 20rd thermold mags for $5 a piece. Sold them all @ $12, which is still cheaper than what you can find online!
