Just parts cleaner. All the colors are primers, then matte clear coat, same process as my sks which has held up to abuse

Sweet! I highly suggest the Mako GL-Shock stock if and when you get around to it. It makes the 458 Socom a pleasure to shoot. You still feel the recoil, it just has a much better butt plate and the recoil is different/delayed slightly.

The A2 stock may get a recoil pad after shooting it (hopefully Monday!). I also got the tromix muzzle brake with the barrel so I'm hoping that will help a lot.

I need to order reloading dies for it soon (redding I think), I've got a Leupold Mark AR 1.5-4 scope that is going on it. I think it will be my deer gun this year.

And once it gets all done, I think spray paint will be in order lol

From what I have seen not great, I can find some on Amazon for a little over a $1 per piece, but that is high from what I've seen. I plan on buying some of the SBR ammo and using the brass from it and from the corbon stuff. I like having a bit of factory ammo to test with as well as compare reloads to

Starline makes a run rather often for the Socom, about every 3-4 months now. Midway allows backorders on it for smaller quantities than Starline direct allows. Best to just get in line and get some when available. Once you get some though, they can be reloaded over and over and over. Some have over 20 loadings on a case. No annealing ever needed and no trimming after the first or second firing either.

.458 socom finished, gonna go test fire it in a few minutes !

    Specs:
    Double star lower
    Double star lpk
    A2 stock
    Wilson combat stripped upper
    Midwest industries rail
    Tromix barrel and brake
    Leupold mark AR 1.5-4x

Will probably get painted with alumahyde II and possibly a new trigger.

I ordered a dust cover with the upper, when it got here I realized it didn't come
With a spring or rod lol, I have one that I have to find now

I know all about that stock. This is with a T-shirt on and after only (20) rounds.
