[IMG][/IMG]WAY over 50 bucks, but worth every penny. COYE KNIVES Area10. This folder will put fixed blades to shame. Put it through 2 2x4s using a 6 1/2# hammer. Handled pelvis, sternum, skinning, & quartering 2 whitetail with ease. I carry a $600ish handgun, $250ish fixed blade, so why not carry a $475 folder. Sometimes you may find yourself in need of a tool that isn't easily accessible, so it's nice knowing that my knives can fill the role of another tool when needed.

Ive carried a benchmade 530 for over 8 years now... First the partial serrated.. And now the standard blade. Once u get used to an axis lock.. You can flick the blade open or closed with one hand. And this knife is very strong.. Keeps a great edge and you dont even notice carrying it it is so thin. Im a knife nut.. And have many blades to choose from to carry.. Many higher end ones.. But this is what i pick day after day. Its my fav knife i have.

the axis lock is the best. it is sucky to clean out if you gut a deer with the knife. but the lock is awesome.

i've carried an axis lock knife of some kind since they came out.

Look what came in the mail today...

I'm not 100% sure about the EDC ability of this knife (950SBK-Osborne). It's a bit larger than others. I kinda wish it had a deep carry clip. Not sure yet.

Opinel. Dirt cheap, the design's from the 90s - 1890s that is, rock solid blade lock, good old carbon steel that takes an edge like a razor, and most importantly does not attract any attention at all. Looks like it came out of a picnic basket.

I've got too many knives, but for an in-slacks-pocket knife it's a Kershaw 1600 Ken Onion Chive. That little sucker holds a razor edge!

Friend gave me a Benchmade/Doug Ritter MK1 as a groomsman gift. It's the best EDC carry knife I've ever owned, hands down.

It's all a matter of perspective. My EDC firearm costs as much as a TRD Supercharger ($3500). I don't mind banging it around and getting it scuffed up, it's a tool that's meant to be used

This is the Benchmade 551 Griptilian G10. It's a limited edition sold by REI.

Spyderco Civilian. Thin profile, tough as nails, great grip, and nasty. Cuts open boxes with ease, but also could cut a head off. I've carried this knife for 21 years and the clip is still as tight as the day it came out of the box. Just a bitch to sharpen, and it's a little larger than most EDCs but the bigger handle is more stable. Never had to brandish this thing on anyone, but their reaction would probably be picture-worthy.

Someone suggested a Pocket Pal Knife Sharpener. Seems like it might work.
