I have a Remington Model 7 Synthetic in a 7mm-08. Stainless, synthetic. I would like a thicker recoil pad but I cannot find anywhere that sells anything for the Model 7 in Synthetic. Recoil pads for wood stocks are easy to find. Anyone else run across this? Ideas?

Thanks for the replies guys. I actually stopped by a gun shop today that I have been doing business with for a long time. As I was there a Remington rep came in the store. According to him when my riddle was built about 6 years ago at Remington the entire production line was shut down twice a year to run the Model Seven's making them rare. Not as rare as a lot of guns I know but what happened is not a lot of aftermarket support. Rep says Remington does not make a pad specifically for the gun. Gun smith at the shop recommended a grind to fit which I was expecting. He had a limbsaver in stock that would match the bolt pattern. He ground it to fit and it is wider and much thicker. Have not shot the rifle yet but I feel it will really tame this rifle.
