Just want to say Im now a proud owner of a Coyote Killer, a Rem 700 VTR .22-250 and I also purchased a Bushnelle Elite 3200 with Ballistic Reticle. Never had to sight in a scope before, should be interesting.

cool. i want that same 700 in the Milspec 5R and either in a 308 or 223 caliber. Awesome weapon though. They make great sniper rifles.

The VTR is a great rifle. I've got the 223 and love it, and am probably going to pick up a 308 one of these days. If you've never zeroed a scope before you might try boresighting it before heading to the range. Perhaps they did that with a device in the store if that's where the scope was installed. If not, simply remove the bolt, place it somewhere that allows you to look down both the bore and through the scope without moving the gun, a cradle or simply fashion one with pillows or cushions on a table, and then center a distant object in the bore, then without moving the gun dial the windage and elevation knobs until the crosshairs bisect that same object.

When you get to the range, zero at 20-30 yards initially just to make sure you're on the paper, then back off to 100 yards and fine-tune it.

Happy shooting!!
