    Couldn't agree more with Jeff. I've had a shotgun since I was 10 and I am very capable of using it. I keep it next to my bed with 3 rounds next to it. My first handgun and my only personal one is a Glock 17 9mm. I keep it in my fingerprint safe, also next to my bed. We have had some scares in my neighborhood recently (I say neighborhood, it's pretty far out of town with 8 houses on my 1/2 mile street). We caught a guy staring in the back door of my neighbor's house at 11pm while her husband wasn't at home. Also had multiple instances of people wandering around our property unwanted. Like Jeff has said, I would much rather not have to shoot an intruder, but I'll do it in a heartbeat to protect my family.

    Always go with a revolver for carry or home defense. If you pull the trigger and it doesn't go BOOM... Just pull the trigger again. Plus, if you can't kill something with six .357 hornady hollow points then you probably shouldn't be carrying a gun.

    You say you'll shoot someone in a heartbeat if you have to yet your shells are laying back next to your bed. Willing to bet your life that you can get back to them, get them chambered under the pressure of dying a horrible death after watching your loved ones do the same and get back on target in a heartbeat?

    Back to the topic... My first was a Sig 226 9mm. For me, it's too big for CC unless its winter and I have a long heavy coat. I keep this as my primary house defense gun.

    G19. Wanted something simple, reliable, and non-22 caliber to learn the pistol basics with. I still shoot it semi-regularly, but I have several other pistols now that see more action (namely my S&W Shield and Bodyguard carry guns).

    Getting my first one this month. It's going to be CZ 75 sp-01. They're super accurate and it's one of the wonder 9 pistols.

    FYI;

    "Wonder Nine" just refers to a semi-auto double stack 9mm with a DA trigger for at least the first shot. Pretty much every full-sized and compact DA 9mm meets those standards these days.

    However, the CZ was one of the original Wonder Nines back in the 70's, if that's what you meant.

    Friend has something like this with a ...modified? choke... maybe, and a pistol grip.

    We could seriously not believe how well you could shoot skeet with it.
    One hand quick point. Heck, it kicked less than many handguns.
    Made even me feel like Wyatt Earp and I'm mediocre at best.
    Actually I stink.

    Certainly be my close to medium Zombpocalypse piece.
    Definitely a purple people eater.

    Lol.
    Always surprising what guns work good for what. A couple of years ago I saw a guy with a Mossberg 500 tactical and a neck sling out deer hunting. I thought he was crazy at the time, but with that shorter stock and barrel it was probably a pretty handy little brush gun.
