Funny how it sounds so innocuous and benevolent the way they word it... ah, but a slippery slope it is when we give up simple freedoms for safety.

This act has disaster written all over it.

 

Well actually the bullet is laser coded on the ass end and then there is a matching number on the casing. you wouldn't be able to remove the coding and it is the only location that could stay in tact after fired.

The down fall now is slower production speed. Higher ammunition costs. Government knowing how much ammo you buy because that serial number is tied to you. And lastly if a crime is committed with one of your lost rounds then you will be the first one hauled in.

 

The way the Bill reads for this state (WA) that on JAN 01 2010 all handgun ammo kept, sold, or transported within the state must be coded.

Do any of our frigging elected officials have more then one functional braincell?

 

So then I would have to collect all my brass while on any range or it could be reloaded and get tracked back to me. I guess they don't think criminals know how to use a re loader either...

 

See now there is the kicker.. if you reload it the serial numbers won't match. so when they are investigating a crime seen they could have 2 different sets of numbers.

also, what happens if you just fire a non metal jacket round that you made at home. So a thug could melt their own bullets and put it into your casing

so what is too much ammo when you could be faced with something like this down the road

More so than anything else what a way to track what you buy, kinda like a internet cookie. I like how they make itsound like they are doing you a favor. "Hey, we're here for you, we're the government, we want to help". Our forefathers must be vomiting.
