    One thing that bothers me, though, is the reporter says the Hollow Points used in his gun are Designed to flatten out and cause more Damage to the assailant. Not nesessarilly true. Hollow points are designed to reduce the chance of over penetration, thus causeing injury or death to inocent people. They are a "Safer" bullit. I choose my ammo according to the environment Im mostly in. I.e., a house, I use light weight hollow points so as to fragment when striking an object and not go further. I hate the "News" people that label these types of bullits "Killer", or whatever.....

    You can't entirely blame the media for that....It is a common belief (like so common that the Geneva Convention prohibits the use of hollow point loads at all in war because of the "increased damage potential"). While it may not be the point of the bullet design-It is certainly a possible effect.

    Sorry he had to kill someone, But glad he was able to defend himself and others in that situation. I have often thought about encountering that situation when I carry. it scares me to death.

    Yes. They do, But I still hate to read how they are portrayed in the news. You dont hear anything like that when someone os blasted with a shotgun.........meh...just bugs me a little. :eek:
