I bet the laminate looks cooler. I have two myself, one's a .300 Win Mag, the other is a .338 Win Mag. Perfect rifles for hunting.

the days of safely displaying firearms are gone..at least in my neighborhood.

i do that, i would find my door kicked in and inventory vanished..i keep things locked up and on the down low.

    sucks.

Easier said than done... I have similar laws where I live but I'm not about to uproot my family just because some legislation passes that I don't agree with. I'll stay where I'm at and keep supporting the people with similar interests in the hopes things will eventually go the other way.

I had one over my bed before we moved, kept a fishing pole and a 20 gauge single shot on it and I had 15 20 gauge shells held in the rack.

Very simple design, made from 2 2x4's and 2 pieces of plywood.

    Looks good

I built this one after we moved to our new house, simple design to keep my AR over my bed, I want to add a small shelf underneath and hang some Pmags from so I don't have Pmags on my headboard.
