I had a pretty good season. Didn't see any bucks this year due to limited time in the woods, but the freezer is full.

Bow season, 140lbs.+; Shotgun/rifle, 125lbs.+; muzzleloader, 80lbs.

one of the 150# + rays i caught this summer. this one took about 80 minutes or so, had it up to the boat in the first five minutes then he just sank to the bottom (an easy 30 ft at the time) and just dug himself.

fished off the dock one day and buddy threw his cast net then we had bait for night

nice little one i snagged in one day

and another huge ray, this one took my buddy 2 hours

Gotcha. That makes more sense.

So far I haven't been able to find any backstory for this picture. Anyone know?

Don't know anything really...but I'll speculate. The look of the grass makes me think this was taken on Kodiak or on the Alaska Pen somewhere. Having said that though it could be just about anywhere on the coast of AK from around Yakatat to the Aluetians.
That might help you narrrow down your search....if that is your intention.

The above picture is referenced in the following thread with some back story...

http://www.city-data.com/forum/alask...-alaska-4.html

Content: "This is a favorite photo that was given to me. It is a guy that was a guide on Kodiak Island back in the late 50's. He found a broken gun, bear skull and human skull all together... Seems nobody won on that confrontation..."

Spending a couple days at a friend's ranch in Central Oregon. My trigger finger is twitchy worse than a frigging meth addict.
